DETECTIVES OPERATIONS ACHIEVES SUCCESSFUL OUTCOMES

The police arrested at least 99 suspects during high-density suspect tracing operations conducted by the detectives on Saturday 2021-11-13 from 06:00 am to 2:00 pm. According to police, officers dealt with249  dockets. They managed to arrest the suspects for committing the following crimes:35 for assault cases. Three are related to Domestic Violence issues,  2 for rape, 3 for attempted murder, 2 for sexual assault,  7 for armed and common robbery.

Other suspects were arrested for crimes such as malicious damage  to property, housebreaking, possession of hijacked motor vehicles, possession of a stolen motor vehicle, possession of an unlicensed firearm, possession of stolen property, theft, intimidation, human trafficking,  fraud,  pointing with a firearm, theft of cables, disaster management act, culpable homicide,

 resisting arrest,  contravention of a protection order, and contravention of a court order

The police also seized a white Mercedes Benz which was reportedly stolen in Kagiso last month. Meanwhile an Isuzu bakkie,  Toyota Quantum, 4 Firearms, 2 AK 47 rifles, two semi-automatic rifles, and 50 9mm and 120 rifle ammunition were recovered. The police arrested two suspects in connection with a car hijacking incident and accident scene.
